Sweet Dinner Rolls


INGREDIENTS:

  • 1/2 cup warm water (110 degrees F/45 degrees C)
    1/2 cup warm milk
  • 1 egg
    1/3 cup butter, softened
    1/3 cup white sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
    3 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
    1 (.25 ounce) package active dry
    1/4 cup butter, softened



HOW TO:

  • Melt butter in small saucepan, add milk and water and warm. Crack egg into large bowl, add wet ingredients and mix well.
  • Add yeast; mix; wait five minutes.
  • Add dry ingredients and mix.
  • Knead: to work [dough] into a uniform mixture by pressing, folding, and stretching.)
  • Use flour to dry hands; make balls of dough, lie out on ungreased cookie sheet and cover melted butter. Cover with towel. Wait for one hour to rise.
  • Bake in oven 400 degrees F (200 C) for 10-15 minutes (should be golden brown).
